A four-week online reading group on the life of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and the Khudai Khidmatgar — history’s first nonviolent army, raised from the Pashtun frontier and grounded in Islam.
Each week pairs a portion of the biography with primary sources and one question we will actually argue about: What made an oath stronger than a rifle? What did the movement cost its members, and what did it win? And the standing question Khan leaves every generation — what would it mean to build such a movement now?
Seats are limited so that everyone can speak; sign up early. Readings are provided upon registration. Newcomers to the history are especially welcome.
