Written for newcomers and longtime students of the tradition alike, the primer recovers the word jihad from its narrowing — in hostile caricature and in militant misuse alike — and returns it to the Prophet’s ﷺ own teaching: that the greater struggle is waged against the self before it is ever waged against an enemy.
We encourage readers to share it, teach from it, and argue with it — primers exist to start conversations, not end them. Print copies for study groups will follow; write to us if your community would like a batch.
