Peacebuilders Archive Expands to East Africa

New case studies are joining our growing regional archive.

Our Muslim Peacebuilders archive — case studies of peacemakers across eight world regions — continues to grow, with new research underway on the traditions of mediation and reconciliation in East Africa.

From the elders’ councils of the Horn to the coastal scholars who brokered peace between clans and colonial powers, the region’s history holds exactly the kind of embodied, lived example — Muslim peacebuilding, in the Fellowship’s vocabulary — that the archive exists to document.

New profiles will be announced here as they are published. If you know of a peacebuilder whose story belongs in the archive — from East Africa or anywhere else — write to us; the archive grows by exactly such letters.
